Walking Cultural Corridors: Bringing Fujian's 'Poetry and the Distance' Within Reach_image_2

Strolling along cultural corridors, one can truly appreciate the beauty of humanities. Recently, the "Discovering the Most Beautiful Railways: High-Speed Rail Affection Across Mountains and Seas" online promotional campaign, jointly organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China's Bureau of Internet Social Work and the Publicity Department of the China National Railway Group Co., Ltd., has been a resounding success. On June 17th, the discovery team visited the Quanzhou Maritime Museum, immersing themselves in the splendid maritime culture. They also explored a "Intangible Cultural Heritage Market" at the station, observing demonstrations of Anxi tea-making, Dehua porcelain, and other unique intangible cultural heritage projects.

Culture and transportation go hand in hand, creating a beautiful blend of "poetry and the distance." Culture enriches the meaning of distance, while transportation brings culture to life. Fujian, historically the starting point of the "Maritime Silk Road," has witnessed the Fujianese people engaging in cultural exchange, development, and innovation for over a century. This corridor has fostered a unique tea culture, Mazu culture, and Min merchant culture, which have been continuously inherited and developed into a valuable cultural asset of the Chinese nation. Nowadays, with the rapid development of the economy and society, the dense network of highways, railways, and high-speed railways allows Fujian's rich "cultural resources" to shine brightly alongside the "accessibility" of transportation, composing a new chapter of shared beauty.

The fluidity of transportation not only provides strong support for people's well-being but also injects new vitality into cultural inheritance and development. In recent years, Fujian Province has relied on its "three vertical and six horizontal" railway network and the surrounding Fujian railway to connect the province's high-quality cultural and tourism resources, promoting the high-quality development of Fujian's cultural tourism economy. Convenient transportation enables people to "just go," experiencing the cultural richness and natural beauty of Fujian in a journey that traverses mountains and rivers. Travelers can also savor the renowned Min cuisine and Min tea, immersing themselves in the profoundness of Fujian's traditional culture. The prevailing "cultural tourism trend" has also brought a wealth of opportunities to the cultural industries along the routes, empowering culture to develop through inheritance and innovate through development, creating a "symphony" of people's well-being and shared prosperity. It’s amazing to see how interconnected everything is!

The "flowing China" better connects the charm of the "mountains" and the style of the "sea," carrying Fujian culture on a fast track of development. Looking forward to the future, the continuously optimized and strengthened "cultural corridors" can become a new window for showcasing Fujian, helping economic and social development reach new heights.
